Befriending & Supporting International Students in Hattiesburg, Mississippi
Welcome Party
Every Fall, our volunteers organize a city-wide “Welcome to Hattiesburg Party” for the International Students in our area.
This year we will have an “iFriends Explore Downtown” party on Sept. 28. We will meet at 4Points Church then go on a Photo Scavenger Hunt around Hattiesburg’s Downtown area and concluded with lunch and sharing of our photos.
Help Getting Settled
Settling into a totally empty apartment can be overwhelming, so AIM solicits help from the Hattiesburg community and gathers furnishings to help students make their new apartment a home.
Friendship & Support
“iFriends-Hattiesburg” and “iFriends-MS Gulf Coast” Facebook groups provide a platform for International Students studying in our City and on the Coast to connect with local people, make friends, and find support for living in our communities.
